Hole in one prizes guarantee success for charity golf day

Hole in one prizes guarantee success for charity golf day.

With difficulties in drawing a crowd having blighted past events, Alsager Lions Club decided they would do something special this year for their Charity Golf Day – offer a hole-in-one prize!

Alsager Lions were delighted with the result, as the draw of a £5,000 main prize for a hole in one plus three other hole in one prizes on the other par 3s really made the difference! With 24 teams of four entering, they managed to raise in excess of £1,000 for charity. The weather also proved a treat, delighting the players with fairways and greens that were in superb condition.

Ella Gruse, the new president of Alsager Lions, thanked the Club Captain Tony Pickford for the club’s efforts in making the day such an outstanding success. A special mention also goes to non-Lion Mr. Geoff Andrews whose organisational prowess helped deliver a fine day out for all involved!

These prizes ensured an unforgettable golf day for the players, helped to raise funds for the charity, and elevated the profile of the Alsager Lions Club and their Charity Golf Day.
